Everyone in our community has the right to use public transport. The Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002 (Qld) was established as the minimum accessibility requirements to be met by all providers and operators
The transport standards recognise that access to public transport enables people with a disability, their families and their carers to fully participate in community life and also benefits many older Australians
The standards set out requirements in relation to issues such as (but not limited to):
